LNU Strengthens Campus Wellness through School Health Week 2025

As part of School Health Week 2025, Leyte Normal University organized a series of activities aimed at promoting health awareness and building safer learning spaces. With the theme “The Immunity Shield: Disease-Proofing the Classrooms/Offices,” the celebration underscored the importance of prevention and preparedness in maintaining a healthy academic environment.

One of the major highlights was the Blood Donation Drive held on December 3, 2025, led by the LNU Medical Services in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross. Students, faculty, and staff participated as voluntary donors, contributing to community health under the message “Strong Heart, Strong Community.”

In the afternoon, the university mounted a learning session focusing on disease prevention, workplace/classroom safety, and reportable diseases. The discussions were led by Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Bobby Jay C. Ochea and Head of the LNU Medical Services Dr. Ruthchel C. Zeta. Their insights emphasized practical ways to strengthen immunity, improve hygiene practices, and ensure the timely reporting of health concerns.
