COE Students Celebrate Education Week with AI-Ready ASEAN Training
TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (Dec. 3, 2025) — Hybrid Training Session for AI-Ready ASEAN Program at LNU Hotel Cresencia Ballroom Hall.
As part of the Education Week celebration, College of Education students at Leyte Normal University took part in the hybrid training orientation for the AI Ready ASEAN Program—an opportunity that gives them free access to a 12-hour AI Literacy Training. The session featured warm welcome messages from SMARTCT’s Executive Director, Kris Villanueva- Libunao,
and LNU’s College of Education Dean, Dr. Billy A. Danday. This was followed by an introduction of the AI Ready ASEAN LNU Team, and a clear overview of the program and learning management system, which allowed students to ask questions and get a feel for the platform and activities they will soon experience.
The AI Forum with the Master Trainers further sparked student interest as they learned how AI can shape future classrooms and strengthen their readiness as educators.
This activity marks another meaningful step in LNU’s mission as Regional Hub in the Visayas under the AI Ready ASEAN Program, to prepare the youth, educators, parents, and other stakeholders to be innovative, adaptable, and future-ready.
