Hotel Crescencia Sparkles with Hope as Tree Lighting and Christmas Bazaar Officially Open

TACLOBAN CITY, PHILIPPINES (Dec. 9, 2025) – Christmas Tree Lighting and Christmas Bazaar Opening at Hotel Crescencia Lobby, Youngfield Compound, Leyte Normal University (LNU).
The LNU College of Management and Entrepreneurship (CME) welcomed the Christmas season with the much-anticipated Tree Lighting Ceremony and Grand Opening of the Christmas Bazaar held on December 9, 2025 at Hotel Crescencia. The event brought together faculty, guests, students, and families for an evening filled with warmth, music, and the true spirit of giving.
The highlight was the ceremonial lighting of the Tree of Hope— a tradition that has been shining for three years, symbolizing resilience, generosity, and the enduring Filipino spirit. Adorned with real plants, the Tree of Hope serves as a gentle reminder that even in the midst of challenges, life continues to grow and hope continues to bloom.
Surrounding the tree is the hotel’s vibrant Christmas Bazaar, showcasing simple yet meaningful acts of giving. The bazaar features handcrafted items, Paskong Pinoy dishes, and locally made goods carefully prepared by Tourism, Hospitality, and Entrepreneurship students. Visitors may also purchase Christmas ornaments for a cause. All proceeds from the bazaar will be used to provide essentials and small gifts for children in the Cancer Ward of the Eastern Visayas Medical Center (EVMC) — a loving reminder that they are remembered, supported, and cherished this Christmas season.
To ensure meaningful evaluation and authentic feedback, the College invited judges from various areas of teaching expertise, enriching the learning experience for the practice teachers. The activity reinforced the COE’s commitment to preparing future educators who embody excellence, integrity, and service.
