CHED Commends LNU for Global Rankings Performance
PASAY CITY, PHILIPPINES (Dec. 10, 2025) – Internationalization Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2025 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
Leyte Normal University (LNU) was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) during the ICONS Awards 2025 on December 10, 2025, at the Philippine International Convention Center.
CHED cited LNU’s strong performance in globally recognized rankings, including its placement in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025 (601–800) and the World University Rankings for Innovation 2025 (107th).
The commendation, received by LNU President Dr. Gil Nicetas B. Villarino, recognized the university’s exemplary contributions to Philippine higher education, particularly in internationalization and sustainability.
