LNU Launches Health Talk Series to Promote Holistic Wellness


Leyte Normal University kicked off the Health Talk Series on October 21, 2024, at the HRDC Multipurpose Hall. Faculty, staff, and students of the university attended the event which featured key health topics by distinguished medical practitioners addressing contemporary health concerns.

Resource speaker Dr. Floro Camenforte, Jr., Medical Homotoxicologist and Integrative Medicine Practitioner, discussed Health Habits, Happy Life: A Recipe for Success. He highlighted the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle and healthy diet.

Dr. Ludina L. Insigne, the NASPCP Medical Coordinator of the Department of Health Center for Health Development, emphasized the significance of taking control of one’s sexual health.

Additionally, Ms. Caryl L. Gorgonio, the DOH EVCHD National TB Program Nurse Coordinator, provided essential information on tuberculosis prevention.

Anchored on the theme Mind, Body, and Community: A Health Journey, the event reflects the university’s commitment to promote the holistic well-being of the Normalistas by fostering greater awareness and encouraging proactive measures for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
