LNU Champs Dr. Roberto N. Padua Award in Journal Peer Review Writeshop

Among the institutional members of the Visayas Mindanao Consortium for Journal Publications, Inc. (VMCJPI), Leyte Normal University secured the top spot and won the Dr. Roberto N. Padua Award in the Writeshop on Journal Peer Review held at Surigao del Norte State University – Del Carmen, Siargao Island on March 20-21, 2025.
LNU bested other State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) as it received the gold award for an exemplary performance in the production of high-impact scientific journal publications, active participation in academic conferences, and outstanding leadership in research undertakings.
Representing the university in the awarding ceremony on the second day of the writeshop were Asst. Prof. Jufran C. Agustin, managing editor of the Journal of Education and Society (JES); Dr. Perlita M. Vivero, the director of Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), Dr. Victoria Y. Rojas, the program coordinator of Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED)-Filipino, and Dr. Orlando P. Vinculado, Jr., a faculty member of BSED-Professional Education.
In the awarding ceremony, the aforementioned LNU peer reviewers represented Dr. Jonas P. Villas, the officer-in-charge LNU President and Dr. Myra A. Abayon, the executive director of the Office of Research and Innovation (ORI).
